| Setting | Options | What customers see |
|---|---|---|
| Food Type | Veg | A green veg mark beside the dish name. |
| Food Type | Non-veg | A red non-veg mark beside the dish name. |
| Food Type | Other | No mark. Use it for drinks, sauces or anything that is neither. |
| Mark as top dish | On | A "Bestseller" label in several layouts, and a "Must try" label in the Diner layout. Some layouts show no label. |
| Mark as top dish | Off | No label. |
Good to knowIn the Diner layout, the search box shows your top dishes first, before the customer types anything. If you have none marked, it shows the first few dishes. The veg and non-veg marks also show in the sheet where customers choose sizes and add-ons.
Questions
Do I have to set a food type?
No. A dish left on Other shows no mark.
How many dishes can be top dishes?
As many as you like. Use it sparingly so the label still means something.
Can the label say something other than Bestseller?
No. The wording is set by the menu layout.
