Accept orders automatically
Auto-accept takes new orders for you. Choose to accept instantly, or let the alarm ring for 30 seconds up to 2 minutes first, so the order is accepted only if nobody has done it by then.

Step 2: Switch on Accept orders automatically
Turn on Accept orders automatically. With no delay chosen, new orders are accepted as soon as they are placed.

Step 3: Choose how long the alarm rings first
Under Accept orders, pick Instantly (no ring) or a delay. With a delay, the order stays Pending and rings, and it is accepted for you only if nobody has accepted it in time.
Step 4: Save
Press Save at the bottom of the screen.
What happens to an order
| Setting | What happens |
|---|---|
| Instantly (no ring) | The order is accepted the moment it is placed. The new-order alarm never rings. |
| After a delay | The order rings as Pending. If you press Accept first, auto-accept does nothing. If not, the order is accepted when the delay ends. |
Good to knowAuto-accept works even when no dashboard is open, because the server accepts the order. With no dashboard open it can land up to a minute after the delay ends. If you also use Print automatically, keep the dashboard open on the printer's device, because printing happens there. See Print KOTs and bills automatically.
Questions
What is the longest delay?
Two minutes. The choices are 30 seconds, 1 minute, 90 seconds and 2 minutes.
Should I choose Instantly?
Choose a delay if orders get missed. Instant accepting means nobody hears a ring, which suits a store with a kitchen printer and no one watching the phone.
Does auto-accept work on the Free plan?
Yes. Auto-accept is on every plan.
