Minimum order and maximum distance
Two limits protect your delivery margins. The minimum order amount is the smallest cart you'll deliver, and the maximum delivery distance is the farthest you'll go. Customers who fall short are told how to fix it and can switch to takeaway.

The two limits

How checkout applies them
- The minimum is compared with the total of the items, before the delivery charge and extra charges.
- A customer below the minimum sees the shortfall in rupees (or your currency) rounded up.
- A customer outside your area can't place a delivery order whichever courier carries it. A Shiprocket quote is the one exception to the distance limit.
- Both limits are checked again when the customer presses the order button.
Good to knowA minimum order amount suits stores where small delivery orders cost more than they earn. To soften it, pair it with free delivery from a higher amount so customers see a reason to add more.
Questions
Does the minimum order include taxes and delivery?
No. It is compared with the total of the items only, before the delivery charge and extra charges.
Can different areas have different minimums?
Not yet. The minimum order amount applies to the whole store.
