Hold bills, send the KOT first and take pre-bookings in the POS

Hold parks a bill so you can serve the next customer. Print KOT sends a counter order to the kitchen now and takes the payment later. Pre-book saves an order for a later time: the POS rings a reminder and prints the KOT on time.

Hold a bill and open it again

Step 1: Hold it

Press Hold under the bill. Type a Customer name or token (or leave it empty for the next token number) and press Hold bill. No bill number is used until it's settled.

Step 2: Open it again

Press Open orders · N. It lists running tables and held bills with Running, In kitchen, Held or Bill printed. Tap one to add dishes, print the bill or settle it.

Opening another bill while the screen has dishes asks what to do: Back, Discard or Hold it.

Send the KOT first, take payment later

  • Press Print KOT (F4) on a counter bill. For dine-in, pick the table; the dishes go onto it (as ADDED if it was already running).
  • For takeaway or delivery, the bill is kept under the customer's name or the next Token N. Tokens start again each day.
  • Settle it later from Tables or Open orders.

Pre-book an order for later

Step 1: Add the dishes

Make the bill as usual, then press Pre-book.

Step 2: Fill in Pre-book for later

Pick the Order type, When (Today, Tomorrow or a date and time), Remind me (At the time, 15 min before, 30 min before or 1 hour before), Guests for dine-in, and Send to the kitchen (At the reminder or Now).

Step 3: Add the customer and advance

Name and phone are needed (and the address for delivery). Add an Advance (optional) with its payment method: the bill shows the advance and balance.

Step 4: Save

Press Save pre-booking · print slip. A pre-booking slip prints, and the KOT too if you chose Now.

  • Pre-bookings · N lists them with the time left, guests, dishes, advance and balance. Each has Open & bill, Print slip, Change time and Cancel.
  • At the reminder time the POS rings and shows Pre-booking reminder. With At the reminder chosen, the KOT prints by itself. Press Snooze 10 min, Open the bill or OK, got it.
  • When you settle, the advance is taken off what's left to pay.
On AndroidAllow notifications and Alarms & reminders when asked, so a reminder rings on time even when the app is in the background.

Questions

Do held bills and pre-bookings sync?
They stay on the device until they're settled. Then the bill goes to your dashboard like any other.
Can I cancel a pre-booking?
Yes, with a reason. If the kitchen already has it, a manager approves. Remember to return the advance.
