Send the link
Step 1: Open the order
Press the order in Orders. The Customer card is on the right, or further down on a phone.
Step 2: Press Send track link
Your WhatsApp opens on the customer's WhatsApp number with the message typed in. Check it and press send in WhatsApp.
Step 3: Or send it by SMS
Press the arrow beside the button and pick SMS. The button now opens your phone's Messages app instead. Your choice is remembered on this device, so next time one press is enough.
The message reads like this, with the customer's first name, your store name and where the order is: "Hi Arati, your order from Kerala Specials is being prepared. Track it live here:" followed by the link. It does not include the order number.
Good to know
- The message goes from your own WhatsApp or phone. Menuthere doesn't send it and it doesn't cost anything.
- WhatsApp goes to the order's WhatsApp number. SMS goes to the Contact number the customer gave at checkout, when there is one.
- Copy link in the same menu copies just the link, to paste anywhere.
- If you use your own domain, the link uses it.
- SMS needs a phone, or a Mac with Messages set up. On a Windows computer use WhatsApp or Copy link.
- The button only shows when the order has a phone number. It is hidden on cancelled orders.
