Customers add your store to their home screen
A customer can add your store to their phone's home screen and open it like an app, full screen with no browser bar. The shortcut carries your store name and logo. There is nothing to install and nothing for you to switch on.

How a customer does it
Step 1: Open your store in Safari
Open your store link in Safari. Your store name appears at the top.
Step 2: Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen
Tap the Share button, scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Step 1: Open your store in Chrome
Open your store link in Chrome.
Step 2: Use the browser menu
Open the browser menu and tap Install app or Add to Home screen, then confirm.
What they get
- A home-screen shortcut named after your store, with your logo available as its picture.
- The store opens full screen, without the browser's address bar.
- Your store opens at its own address, so customers land on your menu.
Good to knowYour store does not show its own install button. Customers use their browser's menu, and the exact wording differs between phones and browsers. The shortcut opens the same store as the browser, so everything you change in the dashboard shows up there too. A store app with its own name and icon in the app stores is a different thing. See Your own branded app.
Questions
Does the home-screen version cost anything or need an update?
No. It is the same web store, so it always shows your current menu.
Will customers get notifications from it?
Your store does not send push notifications. Customers follow their order on the status page, and Pro stores send WhatsApp order updates. Push order updates are part of the branded app.
How do I tell customers about this?
Share your store link and QR code, and point them to this tip. See Share your store link and QR.
