Kitchen tickets (KOT)
A kitchen order ticket (KOT) tells the kitchen what to cook: the table or order type, the dishes and quantities, and any notes. It carries no prices. Print it from an order or let it print automatically.

What is on a ticket
| On the ticket | What it means |
|---|---|
| Table name or number | From the table's QR code. An order with no table reads N/A. |
| Order number, type, date and time | The order number, "Delivery", "Takeaway" or the table, and when it was placed. |
| Pay Via | How it is paid, such as "Prepaid", "COD" or the counter method. Left out when unknown. |
| Prebooked | The time the order is for, in bold, when it was booked in advance. |
| Order Notes | The customer's note for the kitchen. |
| Items | Quantity and name. A dish note shows beneath it. (FREE) marks a free item. |
| (ADDED) and the banner | On a table order, a reprint after the guest orders again. The new lines carry (ADDED), under "* Customer added items *". |
| Description and category | Printed under or beside the name when you switch them on under Bill content. |
How to print one
Step 1: Find the order
Open Orders and find the order. Press the printer icon on its row, or Print in the order's details.
Step 2: Choose the document
Choose Print KOT, Print Bill or Print KOT + Bill. A print page opens in a new tab and your print dialog appears.
Step 3: Or let it print itself
To print without pressing anything, set it up under Auto accept and print. See Print KOT and bills automatically.
Good to knowPrinting never changes an order's status. If you print a bill for a counter order that has no payment method yet, Menuthere asks how it was paid first. Cancelling that question prints nothing. Labels can print in Arabic, see Print labels in Arabic.
Questions
Why are there no prices on the KOT?
The kitchen doesn't need them. The bill has the prices.
Can I change how the ticket looks?
The built-in ticket has one design. The Windows app has its own tools for a custom ticket layout. See Get the partner app.
How does the kitchen know what the guest added in a second round?
The reprint lists every line, marks the new ones (ADDED) and adds a banner at the top. See Table orders and second rounds.
