Discounts that apply themselves
A discount with Auto-apply switched on needs no code. When a customer's cart meets the rule, such as a minimum order, the saving is added at checkout by itself. The customer sees it on the bill.

Make a discount auto-apply
Step 1: Open the discount
Go to Promotions → Discounts. Press New discount, or press the edit icon on one you already have.
Step 2: Switch on Auto-apply discount
Under Limits & visibility, switch on Auto-apply discount. The code box then reads “Leave blank to generate one”. A code is still kept behind the scenes, so you can leave it blank.
In the dashboardPromotionsDiscounts
Step 3: Set the rule, then save
Set the value, the Minimum order value and anything else under When it applies. Press Create discount or Save changes.
What the customer sees
- On your store page the deal carries an Auto-applied · no code tag, if its banner is switched on.
- An auto-applied discount has no Remove button at checkout. If the customer's cart stops qualifying, it drops off by itself.
- List at checkout is separate. It decides whether the deal also appears in the checkout offers list.
- If more than one discount qualifies and you do not allow stacking, one discount applies per bill. See the note below.
