Add a category or subcategory
Press Add Category on the Menu screen, name it and add its first dishes in one go. A subcategory is created from a dish's Category field. Each category has a switch to hide it and a menu to rename or delete it.

Create a category
Step 1: Press Add Category
Open Menu and press Add Category above the list.
Step 2: Name it
Type the Category Name. Show on menu is on by default. Switch it off to create the category hidden.
Step 3: Add the dishes
Press Add item and fill in the name and price. The description is optional. You can also press Menu upload to read dishes from a photo. See Import your menu from a photo or PDF.
Step 4: Save the category
Press Save Category. The button shows how many dishes it will save. A dish row with no name is skipped.
A subcategory lives inside a category. Use one when a category has distinct groups, like "Lunch Only" inside "Mess". You create it while filing a dish.
Step 1: Open a dish
Press Add Item, or press the pencil on an existing dish. Pick the parent in Category.
Step 2: Add the subcategory
Press Add subcategory under the category field, then choose Create New Subcategory. Type its name, for example "Lunch Only", and press Create.

Step 3: File the dish under it
The new subcategory is selected for the dish. Press Add Item or Save Changes. Leave Subcategory (optional) on None to file a dish straight on the category.
Rename, switch off or delete

| Hide a category | Use the On / Off switch on its card. Its dishes are marked unavailable. The card shows "· Off". |
| Rename a category | Open the ⋮ menu on the card and choose Rename. Type the new name and press Save. |
| Delete a category | Open the ⋮ menu and choose Delete. Menuthere asks "Delete this category?" and warns that the category and all its items are deleted for good. |
