| Customer's menu language | What they see |
|---|---|
| Any language except Arabic | The main name, with your second name on the line below it in the layouts that show it. |
| Arabic | Your second name becomes the main name and the original name moves to the line below. Menuthere leaves your Arabic spelling alone instead of translating it. |
Good to knowNot every menu layout shows the second line. The second name also appears on the customer's cart and order. To let customers switch the whole menu into another language, turn on Offer other languages in Settings → Store details → Currency & Language, from Lite. See Menu in several languages for customers.
Questions
Can I add more than one extra language?
No. A dish has one secondary name, and it is treated as the curated Arabic name when a customer picks Arabic.
Does my second name get translated?
No. It is shown exactly as you typed it.
Is this the same as the language button?
No. The language button translates your menu automatically and is a Lite feature. The second name is a name you write yourself, on every plan.
